Rum Cake

1Cchopped pecans or walnuts
118 1/2 ozpkg yellow cake mix with pudding
1/2CCold Water
1/2Cdark rum
1Cgranulated sugar
1/2Cdark rum
Preheat oven to 325 Grease and flour 10 " tube or 12 cup bundt pan Sprinkle nuts over bottom of pan Mix all cake ingredients together and pour batter over nuts. Bake 1 hour. Cool. Invert on serving plate. Prick top. Spoon and brush glaze evenly over top and sides. Allow cake to absorb glaze. Repeat till glaze is used up.

Glaze: Butter, water, sugar and more rum. Melt butter in saucepan. Stir in water and sugar. Boil 5 minutes stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in rum.

Serve with whipped cream or cool-whip.
